Option 1: train to Varenna and ferry boat from Varenna to Menaggio (approx 2hrs journey). Careful! Last ferry from Varenna to Menaggio leaves at 7.35 pm. Last ferry from Varenna to Cadenabbia (2.5km south of Menaggio) at 9.05 pm.
Option 2: train from Milano Centrale or Milano Garibaldi to Como S. Giovanni or from Milano Cadorna to Como Nord Lago.and C10 Bus from Como to Menaggio (approx. 2hrs journey). Careful! The last bus leaves at 8.30 pm (10.40 pm in summer time).
FROM COMO
Bus C10 to Menaggio (approx. 55min journey). The C10 Como-Colico bus leaves from the two train stations of Como (Como S. Giovanni and Como Nord Lago) and stops right in front of the hostel. Careful! The last bus leaves at 8.30 pm (10.40 pm in summer time).

By Car
FROM SWITZERLAND
Gotthard, Lugano Sud exit, then go to “Centro”, and follow signs to Gandria, St. Moritz. Menaggio is at approx. 20km from the border.
When in Menaggio, at Lake level there is a traffic light. Go straight, after 150m there is an Total ERG gas station, after 150 more meters there is a parking lot on the left, look back above the road and you will see the Hostel with a flagged veranda.

ATTENTION: NO Car Ferry from 4th of November 2024 until the 20th of April 2025. Absolutely choose the NO FERRY option, Via Como, as you can find yourself stuck on the other side of the Lake with no Car Ferry Service.

From Milan, Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa airports and from other regions in Italy take the “autostrada” (motorway) A8 North to Laghi, then the A9 to Como Linetta Chiasso.
From the airport of Milano Bergamo – Orio al Serio, take the “autostrada” (motorway) A4 to Milano, then A8 North to Laghi, then the A9 to Como Linetta Chiasso.
Once on the A9, take the “Lago di Como” Exit (3rd exit after Como Toll Barrier). Menaggio is 30 km North of Como.
After the Menaggio sign, there is a short tunnel, the hostel is above the 3rd parking on the right after the short tunnel.

Malpensa express train to Saronno, local train to Como then C10 bus to Menaggio (approx. 2hrs journey). Careful! The last bus leaves at 8.30 pm (10.40 pm in summer time).
MILAN LINATE
Bus to Milan, then:
Option 1: train from Milano Centrale or Milano Garibaldi to Como S. Giovanni or from Milano Cadorna to Como Nord Lago.and C10 Bus from Como to Menaggio (approx. 2hrs30 journey). Careful! The last bus leaves at 8.30 pm (10.40 pm in summer time).
Option 2: train to Varenna and ferry boat from Varenna to Menaggio (approx. 2hrs30 journey). Careful! Last ferry from Varenna to Menaggio leaves at 8.00 pm (7.45 pm on Sundays).
BERGAMO - ORIO AL SERIO
Bus to Bergamo station, train to Varenna (via Lecco) and ferry boat from Varenna to Menaggio (approx. 2hrs journey). Careful! Last ferry to Menaggio leaves Varenna at 8.00 pm (7.45 pm on Sundays).

About The Hostel
IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED?
Breakfast is never included in the price. The hostel bar open at 8.00am and, if you would like, we offer a la carte breakfast. You can find out breakfast menu below:

DO YOU PROVIDE SHEETS AND TOWELS?
Bed Linen and one body towel is always included in the price of the room. We change body towel every 3 days. In case you need a extra towel the cost for it is 5€. In case you may need a small face towel bring it with you.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is until 10.30am. In case you are interested in early check-in or late check-out let us know and we will try to satisfy your needs.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
At our hostel we accept small size dogs. (no cats or other pets). Dogs are permited only in private rooms and no in dorms. The price for your dog is 15€ per stay.
IS THE HOSTEL QUITE AT NIGHT?
Generally here you will sleep very well. We are not a party hostel and we try to maintain the place very quite. However the hostel sometimes organizes some event during wekeends in summer that always stops before midnight.
The building is a bit old so the walls are not 100% soundproof, if you are a light sleeper we can provide for free earplugs for you!
DO YOU HAVE PARKINGS?
The hostel doesn’t own a proper parking but we are lucky to have the only free public parking of Menaggio just in front of our building and down by the road!
DO YOU HAVE A BIKE STORAGE?
In case you stay at the hostel you can lock your bike inside our private garden, which is not locked but safe and with cameras.
CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE BEFORE CHECK IN OR AFTER CHECK OUT?
Yeah sure! We provide a free luggage storage for our guest! Ask information about it at your arrival or via email
